Submission and administration of listings/advertisements

  1. Listing Requirements: To submit a listing or advertisement on the Housing for India platform, you must provide accurate and complete information about the property or service being advertised. Your listing must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and must not contain any false, misleading, or offensive content.
  2. Listing Approval: Housing for India reserves the right to review and approve all listings and advertisements submitted to our platform. We may reject or remove any listing or advertisement that we deem to be inappropriate or in violation of our policies.
  3. Listing Content: You are solely responsible for the content of your listing or advertisement. Housing for India does not endorse or verify the accuracy of any content provided by users, and we are not responsible for any errors or omissions in your listing.

Payment Terms

  1. Payment Methods: Housing for India may accept payment for services via a variety of methods, including credit card, debit card, net banking, and other electronic payment methods. We reserve the right to accept or reject any payment method at our discretion.
  2. Payment Processing: Housing for India may use third-party payment processors to process payments for our services. You agree to provide accurate and complete information to these payment processors, and to comply with their terms and conditions.
  3. Payment Obligations: You agree to pay all fees and charges associated with your use of Housing for India's services, including any applicable taxes. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees and charges incurred by you.
  4. Refunds: Housing for India may issue refunds for services at our discretion. If you are entitled to a refund, we will refund your payment to the original payment method used for the transaction.
  5. Payment Disputes: If you dispute any charges made by Housing for India, you must contact us within 7 days of the charge in question. Failure to do so will result in the waiver of your right to dispute the charge.
  6. Payment Default: If you fail to pay any fees or charges owed to Housing for India, we may suspend or terminate your access to our services, and may take any other legal or administrative action we deem necessary to collect the outstanding amount.

Refund in failed transactions
  • Definition: A "failed transaction" is defined as any payment made on the Housing for India platform that is not successfully processed or completed due to an error or other technical issue.
  • Payment Processing: Housing for India may use third-party payment processors to process payments for our services. You agree to provide accurate and complete information to these payment processors, and to comply with their terms and conditions.
  • Refund Eligibility: Housing for India will issue a refund for any failed transaction that meets the following criteria:
    • The payment was made on the Housing for India platform.
    • The payment was not successfully processed or completed due to an error or technical issue.
    • The user has not received the benefit or service for which they made the payment.
  • Refund Process: To request a refund for a failed transaction, the user must contact Housing for India customer support within 7 days of the failed transaction. We will review the request and, if it meets the eligibility criteria, issue a refund to the original payment method used for the transaction.
  • Refund Amount: Housing for India will issue a full refund for any failed transaction that meets the eligibility criteria.
  • Refund Timeframe: Housing for India will issue refunds for failed transactions as soon as possible, but please note that it may take several business days for the refund to appear in the user's account, depending on the payment method used.
  • Refund Disputes: If you dispute any refund issued by Housing for India, you must contact us within 7 days of the refund in question. Failure to do so will result in the waiver of your right to dispute the refund.
  • Refund Limitations: Housing for India reserves the right to limit or deny refunds for failed transactions in certain circumstances, such as suspected fraudulent activity or abuse of our refund policy.

Rental property services terms

  1. Service Description: Housing for India offers a rental property listing service for property owners and managers to advertise their properties to potential tenants. Housing for India does not own, manage, or rent any of the properties listed on our platform.
  2. User Obligations: Users of Housing for India's rental property services agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and to provide accurate and complete information in their property listings.
  3. Property Listings: Property owners and managers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information they provide in their property listings. Housing for India reserves the right to remove any listing that we deem to be inaccurate, incomplete, or illegal.
  4. Rental Agreements: Housing for India does not provide rental agreements or facilitate the negotiation or execution of rental agreements between property owners/managers and tenants. All rental agreements are solely between the property owner/manager and the tenant.
  5. Tenant Screening: Property owners/managers are solely responsible for screening potential tenants and verifying their suitability to rent the property. Housing for India does not perform tenant screening or background checks on behalf of property owners/managers.
  6. Fees: Housing for India may charge fees for the use of our rental property services, which will be outlined in the pricing section of our website. Property owners/managers are responsible for paying any applicable fees for their use of our services.
  7. Liability: Housing for India is not liable for any disputes, damages, or losses that may arise between property owners/managers and tenants, or for any inaccuracies or omissions in property listings. Users of our rental property services agree to indemnify and hold Housing for India harmless from any such disputes, damages, or losses.

Rental payment

  1. Payment Processing: Housing for India offers a rental payment processing service for tenants to make rent payments to their landlords or property managers through our platform.
  2. Payment Authorization: By authorizing a rental payment through the Housing for India platform, the tenant acknowledges that they are the authorized user of the payment method used and that they have the legal right to use that payment method.
  3. Payment Processing Fee: Housing for India may charge a processing fee for rental payments made through our platform. This fee will be clearly outlined at the time of payment authorization.
  4. Payment Disputes: Any disputes related to rental payments made through the Housing for India platform must be addressed directly between the tenant and their landlord or property manager. Housing for India is not responsible for resolving any disputes related to rental payments.
  5. Payment Refunds: Housing for India will issue refunds for rental payments in the event of a processing error or technical issue that prevents the payment from being properly processed. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used and may take several business days to appear in the user's account.
  6. Payment Security: Housing for India takes payment security very seriously and uses industry-standard security measures to protect the payment information of our users. However, users are responsible for maintaining the security of their own payment information and should take appropriate measures to protect their accounts.
  7. Payment Authorization Cancellation: Users may cancel an authorized rental payment before it is processed by contacting Housing for India customer support. Cancellations made after the payment has been processed may not be possible, and users should contact their landlord or property manager to arrange for a refund.

Rental agreement

Rental Agreement Overview: Housing for India provides a platform for landlords or property managers to create and manage rental agreements with their tenants. Housing for India does not provide legal advice or legal services, and rental agreements are solely between the landlord or property manager and the tenant.

  1. Agreement Terms: The terms of the rental agreement are solely between the landlord or property manager and the tenant, and Housing for India is not responsible for the content or enforceability of the agreement.
  2. Payment Collection: Housing for India may offer payment collection services for rental payments as part of the rental agreement service. Payment collection services are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Rental Payment section of our Terms and Conditions.
  3. Agreement Cancellation: Landlords or property managers may cancel a rental agreement by following the cancellation procedures outlined in the agreement. Tenants who wish to cancel a rental agreement should contact their landlord or property manager directly.
  4. Agreement Disputes: Any disputes related to the terms or enforcement of a rental agreement should be addressed directly between the landlord or property manager and the tenant. Housing for India is not responsible for resolving any disputes related to rental agreements.
  5. Agreement Renewal: Landlords or property managers may renew rental agreements by following the procedures outlined in the agreement. Tenants who wish to renew a rental agreement should contact their landlord or property manager directly.
  6. Agreement Termination: Rental agreements may be terminated by either the landlord or property manager or the tenant by following the procedures outlined in the agreement. Housing for India is not responsible for enforcing the terms of rental agreement termination.

Tenant verification

  1. Tenant Verification Overview: Housing for India provides tenant verification services to landlords or property managers who wish to screen potential tenants. Tenant verification services may include background checks, credit checks, employment verification, and rental history verification.
  2. Verification Information: Housing for India may request personal information from tenants as part of the verification process, including but not limited to name, address, date of birth, social security number, and employment information. This information will only be used for the purposes of tenant verification and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  3. Verification Results: The results of tenant verification services are provided to the landlord or property manager who requested the services. Housing for India does not make any guarantees as to the accuracy or completeness of the verification results and is not responsible for any decisions made by the landlord or property manager based on those results.
  4. Verification Fees: Tenant verification services may be subject to fees, which will be clearly outlined at the time the services are requested. These fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full before the verification process can begin.
  5. Verification Disputes: If a tenant disputes the results of a tenant verification, they may contact Housing for India customer support to request a review of the verification process. Housing for India will review the verification results and make any necessary corrections or updates.
  6. Verification Authorization: By authorizing a tenant verification through Housing for India, the tenant acknowledges that they have provided accurate and complete information and that they have given their consent for Housing for India to perform the verification.
  7. Verification Results Confidentiality: Tenant verification results will be treated as confidential information and will only be shared with the landlord or property manager who requested the verification. Housing for India will not share tenant verification results with any third parties without the tenant's consent, except as required by law.
Use of Information
  • Information Collection: Housing for India may collect personal information from users in order to provide services and improve the user experience. This information may include, but is not limited to, name, email address, phone number, location data, and payment information.
  • Information Use: Housing for India may use the information collected from users for the following purposes:
    • To provide and improve our services.
    • To communicate with users about their accounts and services.
    • To personalize the user experience.
    • To conduct research and analysis.
    • To comply with legal obligations.
    • Information Sharing: Housing for India may share user information with third-party service providers, including but not limited to payment processors, email providers, and analytics providers. Account Suspension/Termination: Housing for India reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts that violate these Restrictions/Prohibitions terms or any other Terms and Conditions of Housing for India. Housing for India may also take legal action against users who violate these terms.

Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold Housing for India harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their violation of these Restrictions/Prohibitions terms or any other Terms and Conditions of Housing for India.

  3. Effects of Termination: Upon termination of a user's access to Housing for India's services, all rights granted to the user under these Terms and Conditions shall immediately terminate. The user shall immediately cease all use of Housing for India's services.
